... not to mention fans of the genius (not a word I use lightly) that is Gordon Giltrap. I remember first getting into Gordon Giltrap at the time of the 'Visionary' (1976) and 'Perilous Journey' (1977) albums and was hugely impressed to see that they also heavily featured one Simon Phillips (of '801 Live', 'Listen Now !' and 'KScope' fame) as well as a few sessioneers familiar to anyone who has studied the sleeve notes of a certain Mr Ferry's solo albums: Chris Mercer ('LST'), Henry Lowther, Jeff (Geoff) Daly, Chris Pyne, Tony Carr, Malcolm Duncan and Roger Ball. Those albums (and 'Fear Of The Dark' that followed it - spawning the UKs first 12" picture disc single, some copies of which were mispressed with 'Manifesto' on one side, IIRC !) were hugely influential to me as both a guitarist and a drummer (hopelessly in both instances ... !) Best, Barry

Barry,
I couldn't agree with you more!
As both a fan and someone who knows Gordon Giltrap a little I'm sure that he'd appreciate you posting your comments on his forum. You'll probably get a reply from the man himself too!
All the best,
Roger
