Hi, all. It's been a long time since I posted something. I wanted to let everyone know that our homage to Roxy Music is complete, at least as far as the track listing goes. The full name for the album is to be "Take Refuge In Pleasure: The Songs of Roxy Music Revisited." We have decided on releasing two different versions - a 15-track, one-disc version, as well as a 42-track, 3-disc "Deluxe and Delightful Edition." The bands come from all over the world and cover the full spectrum from UK glam revivalists The Wolfmen through not one but two bands made up of students from the Grammar School at Leeds! You can read about the latter here: www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/news/Leeds-school-pupils-to-cut.5398141.jpIt should be a really cool album, and I am grateful to the Phil Manzanera and Roxy Music Forum, because a number of bands (including the Grammar School at Leeds bands) contacted me as a result of my posting on this site! You can see the complete track listings for both releases at: www.burningskyrecords.comI know it's not the new Roxy Music album, but it's a pretty good "next best thing" - I hope that you'll check it out. The release date is September 15th, 2009, but we are encouraging people to pre-order now. We're only going to have about 700 copies of the "Deluxe & Delightful Edition" to sell, and we fully expect that it will sell out. If anyone has any questions or would like to contact me about the record, please don't hesitate to do so at burningskyrecords@gmail.com. Cheers, Alan Heaton Burning Sky Records
