Hi, all. I just wanted to let everyone know that the "Deluxe & Delightful Edition" CDs for "Take Refuge In Pleasure: The Songs of Roxy Music Revisited" have arrived! They are absolutely gorgeous - I am truly rather blown away. Some list members have pre-ordered them (thank you!) - I will start sending them out to you this weekend. Also, several members of the Phil Manzanera and Roxy Music Forum appear on the record - you will be getting your complimentary copies very soon, as well. I won't apologize for the fact that this isn't as cool as a new Roxy Music release would be - that is of course out of my control. I will say, however, that I am very pleased to see that over a year's worth of hard work appears to have resulted in something pretty darned cool. Cheers, Alan p.s. Those of you who would still like to order copies can do so at www.burningskyrecords.com (that's the only place they will be sold).

Wondering if anyone had any opinions on the recent Roxy tribute release Take Refuge in Pleasure....I've just received the triple CD set Deluxe and Delightful....been playing it all week end. Well worth a listen....highligts for me are Dream Home, 2HB, Ladytron, She Sells, Trash and Really Good Time..... and the artwork is excellent!

Well worth a listen.... Well, I know at least a couple of us 'forumites' hereabouts are on it, so we're hardly unbiased, but yes, I think it's a pretty impressive sounding (and looking) album. Alan Heaton's done a truly excellent job putting it all together and I think everyone associated with it can be justifiably proud of the result. It would be great if all this collective effort by fans could somehow spur the original inspiration for that effort to get a move on and finish the new Roxy Music album but we can but wait ... Best, Barry
